About Tech Tortillas

Texas Tech Tortilla Tradition Apparel

You can’t throw tortillas anymore… but you can wear them.

Texas Tech University alum Kirby Holmes, class of 1994, created TechTortillas.com on January 1, 2023 to celebrate the legendary tradition of tossing tortillas at Red Raider football games. What started as a rebellious and unforgettable fan tradition is now evolving into something new.

The tradition is advancing: Wear'em Tech!

From Tossing to Wearing: Keeping the Tradition Alive

For decades, Texas Tech students and alumni have made their mark by throwing tortillas onto the field at Jones AT&T Stadium. While policies may change, the spirit of the tradition lives on.

TechTortillas.com exists to keep that tradition alive in a new way through bold, fun, and unforgettable tortilla themed apparel and gifts.

Instead of tossing tortillas, fans can now wear the tradition with pride on game day.
